What is Invisalign®?

Invisalign is the clear way to straighten teeth without braces, using computer generated aligners. Aligners are made of a clear, thin, medical-grade plastic that is virtually invisible when worn.

Using advanced 3-D computer imaging technology to simulate tooth movement, the doctor uses a series of clear, custom-made aligners that gradually and comfortably move your teeth. You wear each aligner for about two weeks, moving from one set to the next, until your new smile emerges.

What are the benefits of Invisalign?

Invisalign aligners are nearly invisible. No one may even notice that you’re wearing these virtually invisible aligners, making Invisalign a seamless fit with your lifestyle and day-to-day interactions with others.

Invisalign aligners are removable giving you the flexibility to eat and drink what you want during treatment by simply removing the aligners. And you can also remove the aligners to brush and floss as you normally would for fresh breath and to maintain good oral hygiene.

Unlike traditional fixed braces, there are no metal brackets or wires. This means that in most cases less time is spent in your Invisalign Provider’s practice for adjustments.

And finally, Invisalign allows you to view your virtual results and treatment plan before you even begin treatment so you can see how your teeth are expected to look when your treatment is complete

Is this a new way to straighten teeth?

Dentists or orthodontists have, in the past, successfully used removable appliances for years. But with the application of Align Technology’s 3D computer technology and mass-customisation, the Invisalign System can be used to treat a wide range of patients who wants straighter teeth. The unique ClinCheck® software allows patients to see their treatment plan from beginning to end even before the start of treatment.

How old is the Technology?

In 1945, Dr. H.D. Kiesling envisioned that one day modern technology would enable the use of a series of tooth positioners to produce the kinds of movements required for comprehensive orthodontic treatment. Align Technology has made this vision a reality. Using advanced computer technology, Align Technology produces Invisalign, a series of customised clear aligners. Each aligner is worn sequentially by the patient to produce gradual tooth movements in both upper and lower arches.

How much will Invisalign cost?

As with other orthodontic options, the cost will be based on the complexity of your case and the length of treatment. We don't want the investment to prevent you from having the smile you have always wanted. During the initial exam, Dr. Adams will determine the complexity of your case, the estimated length of treatment, and the investment for treatment. We offer a variety of payment options to suit your individual needs. All of this will be discussed during your complementary consultation.

I'm in the Military, can I have Invisalign treatment?

Yes! Dr. David Adams treats many individuals that are active in all branches of the military through the Invisalign system. Why choose an Orthodontic Specialist?

You trust your heart to a cardiologist, your skin to a dermatologist, your knees to an orthopedist. Like these specialists who study their specialty areas after their general medical education, orthodontists devote an additional 3 years of study to orthodontics after they graduate from dental school. And like their medical counterparts, orthodontists limit their practices to their specialty area. Orthodontists have in-depth experience in orthodontic care. They use their knowledge and skills to help you get the best results possible.

Dr. Adams is an expert in straightening teeth, as a result of his extensive education.General dentists typically only take a short course to learn about the Invisalign system with minimal education towards other factors you should take in consideration when straightening teeth. Orthodontists are Specialists and are dedicated to helping your teeth and jaws work in union so that you can speak, bite and chew comfortably and effectively.

Does my insurance cover Invisalign?

A dental insurance policy that covers orthodontics will cover treatment with Invisalign as well. Call our office so we can see how we can maximize your benefits!

Are financing options available for Invisalign?

Yes! Our practice offers NO INTEREST financing that has been attracting patients to our office for years through CareCredit and in-house financing!
